Ladies, the climate outside is unpleasant and your mood might not be so pleasant after a long day working, dealing with kids and then getting ready for the vacations. PTA bake sale? Ugh. Mother-in-law on the phone? We'll be right there. Deep breath. There's no time (and maybe no budget) to rush to a local spa for a good soaking bath and scrub. That doesn't signify you don't get the R&R necessary to de-stress your life. How about bringing home spa treatments with you for your holidays.

Creating a Bathroom Home Spa on a Budget

You could turn your bathroom into a five star spa with just one member: YOU. Below are some of my favorite ideas on how you can "get away" and feel great with spa facilities never departing from your house.

- Create your home spa to model your favored spa. If you like the truth that they provide water out of crystal glasses then buy a good-looking goblet for your bathroom. Invest in that feathery robe and have beautiful baskets to keep your home spa tools. Hide some stunning candles that just come out for spa night and special towels that you only use for these special times. Purchase a small boom box and have relaxing music ready, try Soundings of the Planet-Healing Music. "Borrow" a do not disturb signboard from a hotel visit or design one to droop outside the door. It's a way to telling your family that you've left out for the next half hour!

- Do you love how before any healing at spa there is always a quick scrub. You can build a rapid DIY home body scrub that's equivalent to any anti-aging skin care products by trying the following: Buy a bag of Kosher salt and your preferred essential oil such as lavender or rose. Blend a teaspoon of oil to 12 cup of salt and blend until you have a loose paste. Don't crush the salt grains. Keep this blend in a plastic bowl next to your shower or bath. By the way, skip the sugar scrubs. The grains are much smaller and less effective. For myself , I love Nantucket Natural Oils for their concentrated purity. Try adding flowers, including rose petals to this salt mix. Now, only use a cloth or a loofah and scrub your body from head to toe. It's natural, affordable and you will feel like silk.
